LAB ORDERING FOR PRODUCT TEAMS
CareGap already runs a live Quest Diagnostics interface. Sign up, put a card on file, and order tests and pull results through one API — on HIPAA-compliant rails, with your ordering provider and your pricing.
No quote, no discovery call, no percentage of what the test costs. This is the whole price list.
$1,500
One-time setup
NPI and license verification, Quest account setup, your tenant and API keys, sandbox access.
$2.00
Per order placed
Flat. Charged to your card when you submit an order. Volume pricing available above 2,000 orders a month.
$1.00
Per patient, per year
Each patient record on HIPAA-compliant rails. Billed annually, not per API call.
+ Test
Paid to Quest
The lab bills the test itself. You order at CareGap account rates rather than Quest list price.
Flat, not a percentage. The platform fee never moves with the price of the test. That keeps it a technology fee, which is what EKRA requires.
One contract. Ordering, results, and the patient record are a single agreement with CareGap. You are not signing two.
You set retail. You buy at your account rate and decide what your patient pays inside your own app.
And the moment real lab results come back, that patient record has to sit on HIPAA-compliant infrastructure. That base layer is included — testing stacks on top of it.
LAYER 3
Your brand, your checkout, your clinical workflow, your patient experience.
LAYER 2
What you are here for. Ordered through CareGap's live lab interface.
LAYER 1 · GROUND ZERO
Not a customer list. A patient on compliant infrastructure — required before any order can exist.
Most teams find at least one of these late. Read them now, not after you have built the checkout.
Every lab order needs a licensed clinician behind it. If you have your own physician or a telehealth group, you are ready. If you do not, you need one before you can order — this is not direct-access testing, and CareGap never originates the order.
Quest bills your account for the test, and you collect from the patient inside your own app at one price, known at checkout. Insurance billing is not supported today.
You declare where you operate at signup. Some states restrict re-billing lab work through direct-bill, anti-markup, and disclosure rules. We flag those states for you so your pricing decision is an informed one.
Real lab results are protected health information the moment they land. Members in a web app are not the same thing as patients on HIPAA rails. That layer is included here, so this one is already handled.
Sign up, pay, integrate. You do not have to meet anyone to get started.
NPI and state license checked against NPPES automatically. Declare your states of practice.
One click-through package: service agreement, BAA, cash-pay attestation, Quest use terms. E-signed.
Stripe Checkout. Setup fee charged immediately, card stored for per-order billing. We never touch card data.
You upload one templated form. We file it with Quest and track it to a client number. Your sandbox works the whole time.
Your tenant is provisioned, API keys issued, and the test compendium and draw-site list scoped to your account.
An automated test order and result round trip. Pass the suite and your account flips to production.
Steps 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 are automated. Step 4 is not — issuing a Quest account is a human process on Quest's side that typically takes several business days. So: sandbox in minutes, production in days. You can build the entire integration while the paperwork clears.
Same rails underneath. The only question is who writes the application code.

Talk To The Build TeamYou are not waiting on an integration to be built. You are getting access to one that already runs in production.
A live Quest interface with HL7 and file handling already in place, moving real orders and real results today.
Test codes kept current for Quest, so you are ordering against a catalog that matches what the lab actually runs.
Your data is scoped to your tenant, exposed through a FHIR layer, with audit logging on every order and result.
Yes. A valid lab order requires a licensed ordering provider, and that is true whether the patient pays cash or not. If you have your own clinician or a telehealth partner, you are covered. If you do not have one yet, tell us in the form below and we will point you at options.
The test is billed by Quest to your account, separately from CareGap's platform fee. You order at CareGap account rates rather than Quest published list price. Tell us which panels you care about in the form and we will send your specific rates.
You set your own retail price inside your app. Be aware that roughly half the states regulate re-billing lab work through direct-bill, anti-markup, or disclosure statutes. You declare your states of practice at signup, we flag the ones with restrictions, and your counsel should review before you publish pricing.
Not today. This is cash pay with the test billed to your account. Insurance billing brings payer enrollment, claims, denials, and appeals into scope, and it is deliberately out of scope for this offering.
Because it has to be. EKRA reaches commercial and cash-pay testing, and payments that move with the volume or value of tests are exactly the pattern enforcers look at. A flat fee charged to you, priced to the technology, keeps everyone clean.
Yes, as an add-on through our mobile phlebotomy partner, in addition to Quest patient service centers. Flag it in the form and we will include it in your setup.
Yes, and it is part of the click-through package at signup, along with the service agreement and cash-pay attestation. CLIA certification and licensure sit with Quest. Card data is handled by Stripe and never stored by CareGap.
Sandbox access does not wait on Quest paperwork. You can be calling the API and building against real test data while your account is being issued.
Tell us about your product. We will confirm your rates, send the agreement, and get your sandbox open.
